Scholarships are gifts. They do not need to be repaid. There are thousands offered by schools, employers, individuals, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, and professional and social organizations.

Established in 1987, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the Black College Community. TMCF member-schools include the publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). 


UNCF is the nation’s largest private scholarship provider to minority group members. Each year, we award more than $100 million in scholarships to students attending more than 1,100 schools across the country.

Architecture and Building Construction Majors


  • From college scholarships to financial support for the Architect Registration Exam (ARE), we offer several programs that support the academic and professional pursuits of the next generation of architects. 

Business, Finance and/or Economic Majors


  • Applicants must be enrolled in or applying for an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in project management, and/or a field that benefits from project management.

  • The Domo Scholarship for Business Management program, launched this year, was designed to help the next generation of leaders compete as data’s role in day-to-day business rapidly increases in both practice and importance.

Education Majors


  • This program offers four 4-year, $8,000 post-secondary scholarships to students who are dependents of AFT members, as well as 10 one-time $1,000 grants to AFT members to assist with their continuing education.

  • The NEA-Retired Jack Kinnaman Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Jack Kinnaman, Vice President and former Advisory Council member of NEA-Retired


Ethnic Scholarships


  • This program offers four 4-year, $8,000 post-secondary scholarships to students who are dependents of AFT members, as well as 10 one-time $1,000 grants to AFT members to assist with their continuing education.
  • Latino College Dollars
    Our website is the only all-encompassing resource for assisting Latino students and their families in choosing schools, finding funding, and succeeding in college.


Fine Art Majors

    The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship Program is a vital source of funding for the visual arts and art history in Virginia. 

 

General


  • The CBCF has awarded scholarships to talented and deserving students for nearly three decades.

  • Virginia's higher-education system provides a wide range of resources for students and prospective students.

  • Since 1950 charitable people have established more than 80 scholarship endowments.

  • Berbay Marketing & Public Relations will endow a $1,000 scholarship to a marketing, public relations or communications student who demonstrates a high level of writing skill, academic excellence and creativity.

  • The Expert Institute is offering a $1000 scholarship to students in medicine and the life sciences.

  • Since 1950 charitable people have established more than 80 scholarship endowments.

  • Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) is a company-sponsored employee network dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of black employees at Microsoft Corporation.

  • The NSHSS Foundation provides STEM scholarships for underrepresented groups in order to help reduce financial barriers for those with academic and leadership potential and the desire to pursue STEM careers.

 

Journalism, Media and Broadcast Majors


  • Each year, Berbay Marketing & Public Relations awards a $1,000 scholarship to a marketing and public relations student.

 

NCAA Scholarships and Internships


  • As part of its commitment to providing a pathway to opportunity, the NCAA awards scholarships and grants for further education to college athletes who demonstrate outstanding academic and athletic achievement.

  • The Virginia Department of Health, Office of Minority Health and Health Equity offers several scholarship opportunities to help pay for nursing education
