Mission Statement
É«½äÖ±²¥ at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center provides a variety of education and training opportunities through the Center for Public Health Initiatives at NSU. Programs are designed to help participants accomplish their goals, achieve their highest potential and have a better quality of life.
About Education and Training with CPHI
The Center for Public Health Initiatives at NSU partners with experts, community-based organizations, employers and others to provide a variety of training, workforce development and pathways programs. We welcome opportunities to provide and support ad hoc and ongoing programs focused on public health (as defined here), including factors that influence health, e.g., media or financial literacy and access to jobs.
Programs include:
- Community Education (for community members)
- Professional Education (including for the public health workforce
- Reclamation / Readmission Project
- Pathways Programs
- Academic Support (including for the MPH Program and Joint School of Public Health at ODU and NSU)
- Community Health Worker, Community of Practice
Accreditation
É«½äÖ±²¥ is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. É«½äÖ±²¥ also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
