Professional Advisors
"Who is my advisor?"
Every NSU freshman and sophomore has an academic advisor based in the Student Success Center who is assigned by degree program or major. Each student's advisor is listed in their Student Planning portal under "Plan and Schedule", which is located in Spartan Self-Service. You may also consult the listing on the page Student Success Center > Academic Advising > "Meet Your Advisor" to determine who your advisor is.
**Juniors and Seniors are advised by departmental advisors, located below under Student Success Center > Academic Advising > "Departmental Advisors".
To connect with your advisor, send them an email (addresses listed below) that includes your name, major, NSU ID number and your questions or comments. *Per University policy, please allow 24-48 business hours for a response.
Scheduling/WCOnline
To schedule an appointment with your advisor, please utilize our scheduling platform (please use Chrome or Firefox, not Safari). If you are new to the portal you will need to first create an account > find your advisor > click on a white space on their schedule > fill out your information and be sure to select "Yes. Schedule Online" appointment if you desire to meet virtually.
*** If you selected the virtual option, on the day of your appointment you will log back into WC Online, click on your appointment bubble, and select "Start or Join Online Appointment"
