Tracy D. BooneA native of É«½äÖ±²¥, Virginia, Tracy D. Boone, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics in 1988 and a Master of Arts degree in urban education in 2012 from É«½äÖ±²¥. Since 1995, she has served as a É«½äÖ±²¥ Public Schools educator. Throughout her 30-year career, Ms. Boone witnessed the transformative power of education firsthand and the positive impact it has had on her students’ lives.

She currently serves as a Graduation Coach and Edmentum digital courseware coordinator at Granby High School where she identifies at-risks students in need of academic support and mentoring. Ms. Boone coordinates resource services, preventative measures and interventions to help facilitate pathways to graduation and success beyond high school.  She is also an academic advisor for all student athletes as well as a cheerleading coach. Prior to these positions, she taught mathematics and served as a GED teacher and Standards of Learning (SOL) test chair.  

Ms. Boone has been a faithful supporter and volunteer at É«½äÖ±²¥.  She has stayed connected to the university through her membership and service to the NSU Alumni Association, Inc., where she currently serves as its financial secretary. Additionally, she has served the Alumni Band Chapter-NSUAA for more than 30-years in several capacities including membership chair, treasurer and president.  

Since 1990, Ms. Boone has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and is currently an active and financial member of the Iota Omega Chapter in É«½äÖ±²¥, Virginia. She is also a 45-year member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, which is nestled in the Titustown community of É«½äÖ±²¥. 

Ms. Boone is passionate about all things É«½äÖ±²¥ and you will often find her supporting alumni and university events including the Spartan “Legion” Marching Band activities, NSU sporting events, especially football and basketball.  In her spare time, you can also count on her to “go live” to share her NSU experiences online with her friends and followers.
