  • Election day: November 5th
  • Last day to register to vote in the state of Virginia is October 15th (5pm in person, 11:59pm online); however, the state of Virginia offers same day voter registration.
  • The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 25th.
  • Early voting in É«½äÖ±²¥ will run from September 20th-November 2nd.
    It will be held from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday at the É«½äÖ±²¥ Office of Elections and on Saturdays, October 26th and November 2nd.
  • The É«½äÖ±²¥ Office of elections is located at É«½äÖ±²¥ City Hall, 810 Union Street, Suite 100.

Students Requirements
Students who register to vote using their campus address must provide the full address to include the name of their residence hall and their room numbers.

  • É«½äÖ±²¥'s 49 polling places are accessible to voters who are disabled and elderly.

  • The residence address of the voter determines the assigned precinct, polling location, and election district.

  • Virginia law requires all voters to provide an acceptable form of voter identification when voting in person.

College students can choose to register from their home residence or campus residence. Please DO NOT become a victim of identity theft. Do not share your personal information with strangers.
