
New Student Orientation
The Office of New Student Orientation strives to aid new students in their transition to the University. We work together with various departments to offer academic, financial, and social support to students and their families in their preparation for enrollment. Our program is tailored to introduce incoming first-year students and transfer students to É«½äÖ±²¥ and equip them with the knowledge of academic support services, student development initiatives, and technology tools for academic achievement.
All new first-year students and transfer students are required to participate in and complete the New Student Orientation prior to enrollment. If you have any further questions or concerns pertaining to New Student Orientation, please email us at orientation@nsu.edu.

- To log in to your Application Portal, please utilize the username and password you originally created to log into your NSU Application. Theses credentials are seperate from your MyNSU credentials.

Spartan Reminders:
- Virtual Orientation is required for students participating in the following special programs:
- STARS
- Band
- Athletics
- Honors College
All other students will have the option of Virtual or In-Person
- For students attending the final NSO In-Person (August 7-8) details are as follows:
- Transfer students will NOT be permitted to stay overnight
- Freshmen staying overnight must:
- Have completed a housing application
- Have paid the housing deposit
- Only First Time Freshmen who have received an official housing assignment before August 7th will be allowed to move into official housing. No other student attending NSO on August 7-8 will be allowed to stay overnight unless the official housing assignment was received before arriving.
- Each student is allowed to participate in ONLY one Virtual or In-Person Orientation Session.
- All First Time Freshman attending In-Person Orientation are required to stay overnight on campus. No overnight accommodations are provide for guest.
- Guest are encouraged to attend the orientation with their student. Due to capacity limits, we can only accommodate a maximum of 2 guests per student. The fee for guests is a non-refundable $25 per participant for any orientation session. Please note that all fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. The guest fee covers continental Breakfast and lunch.Guests are highly encouraged to pay via our secure .
